Few people are lucky enough to spend their days working on something they’re truly passionate about, and I should know. I’m one of them.
But that wasn’t always the case. Before I got into real estate and started helping people discover their dream homes in the St. Croix Valley, I had to derive meaning from other sources.
Going beyond my relationships with family and friends, something I’ve always loved is volunteering. There are so many meaningful ways to get involved in our community, and partnering with Our Neighbors’ Place is one of my favorites.
ONP makes me proud to call River Falls my home. For those new to the area, ONP is a local nonprofit organization that encompasses four different programs, offering stability and security to our local families.
First, the Day Center provides housing support and general advocacy. Next, they have a transitional housing program that supports families in need of shelter. (Since the program launched in 2016, ONP has helped nearly 20 families find permanent housing. Amazing, right?)
Meanwhile, ONP’s Backpack Program serves the children of our community and provides nutritional support. And finally, The Closet operates like a thrift store and donates free clothing to the public.
I’ve been a corporate sponsor of ONP for the past three years, an honor I don’t take lightly. I hope to be involved with this incredible organization for many years to come.
If you’re searching for volunteer opportunities in the St. Croix Valley, ONP might be a great fit. They’re always looking for help at The Closet, within the Backpack Program, and during special events. Interested? Start by filling out their application form.
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of giving back to your community. I’m so glad to call River Falls mine.
